Not quite. I wasn't aware that you already used the (better) symlink 
variant.

Of course you can just extract the snapshot next to the original 6.1 source 
and change the typo3_src symlink to the snapshot.
typo3 should then link to typo3_src/typo3

It seems you had a really rough start with TYPO3 CMS. I hope it will tread
