Hi Sti

You don't have a mix of 3.23.x and 4.0.x. phpinfo(); displays 3.23.X even
though you are using 4.0.X for real. I seem to remember that it's a kind of
bug in PHP compilation.

To show your MySQL version use:
apt-show-versions
