In the last two years there have been so many people who all "tried
everything" while their solution was on Googles first result page. I have
become very sceptic and independing of what you wrote above...

...this confirms for me why I think you didn't try hard enough!

You don't need that. It works fine on Sarge, I use it here!

private requests!

<off-topic but think about it!>
First, you sent a private mail with a question to me. Politely, I replied
and politely, I pointed you to the mailing list.

Your next question arrived by private mail again. I replied and wrote you
once more that you should now move to this list.

You replied with an excuse and another question, and after I pointed to the
list again you asked me how the list can actually be used!

Your last private mail was not replied but simply deleted.
</off-topic>

When I think about this then I think that you are just too lazy to search on
your own, so tell me please why I should roll out the red carpet when you
post a question!

Of course we can try to solve your problem but let's first try do this step
by step and the ordinary way: Post a link to phpinfo() and skip all sorts
of flames, please.

Again: I use TYPO3 on Sarge with no other components (except IM 4.2.9) and
it WORKS!

Are you sure you use a pure Sarge or is it a mix of Sarge and Sid?
