It's perfectly working, see the following (I found some spare-time to test 
it ;-):

This is the testing sarge debian distribution:

The menu items on the left are generated on the fly with graphicsmagick ;-)
You can check my test system kernel / sarge etc at:

If you compare this with the LIVE website www.donateursvereniging.nl you 
will see that the images on the testsite are better, they don't have 
scrambled pixels in the menuitems if you take a real close look at it.

By the way. This is very very very very NICE. Now I know it doesn't mind if 
you have STABLE / UNSTABLE debian or whatever, you can get this on the fly 
generating of the images working what until now was only possible on stable 
woody v3.0 for me..... THANKS A LOT!

A question: is .gif also supported with graphicsmagick?
