the exact versions are:

libgd2 2.0.33-1
libgd2-xpm 2.0.33-1
freetype2 1.4pre.20030402-1.1

there's a notice behind freetype2:
Dummy package for transition to libttf2

And libttf2 means:
libttf2 1.4pre.20030402-1.1
FreeType 1, The FREE TrueType Font Engine, shared library files

What does this mean? Am I using freetype1? And if that's the case, how
do I get freetype2 on Debian 'Sarge'?
