In Debian, every package contains a file called "README.Debian". You can
find this file in /usr/share/doc/$PACKAGENAME/

This file always contains all important information related to Debian and
this package. Read it, it's interesting :-)

In the case of PHP4, the file is called 'README.Debian.gz' which means that
the file is gzipped.

Instead of using 'cat' for displaying it, simply use 'zcat' (or better -
'zless').

Hope this helps.

Cheers - michael
