"A type field is the field in the table which determines how the form is 
rendered in the backend, eg. which fields are shown under which 
circumstances. For instance the Content Element table 'tt_content' has a 
type-field, CType. The value of this field determines if the editing 
form shows the bodytext field as is the case when the type is 'Text' or 
if also the image-field shoudl be shown as when the type is 'Text w/Image'."
