FYI, as a merchant, you can configure paypal to allow credit card
payments *without* the user having to create an account [1]. So
implementing only a paypal gateway is usually the easiest way to accept
it all, without having to go through the process of getting other
instances involved.

This of course has other financial aspects, as paypal might be more
expensive than specialized gateways (as authorize.net), but this only
has an impact if you have thousands of transactions.
