Hi everyone,

Thanks for such a nice T3DD! I really enjoyed the short time I could
come over the weekend, but I even liked more to realize how you all
seemed to have a good time together! I'm proud to have put TYPO3 in
the world, but even prouder if another legacy of my work is a
community that gives such a unique life experience to its members.

I have heard multiple times during the years how there is a special
"spirit" in our community. It has always been difficult for me to see
that because it was all I knew. I never could see the forest for all
the trees somehow. Now that I have been studying for a year and thus
engaged in a different social context I can begin to see with fresh
eyes how valuable it is, what we've got in the TYPO3 community. How
lucky all of you are who has a job linked to a product with such a
great spirit! I'm afraid that will be difficult to find in many other
professions.

No matter what the future CMS scene looks like, regardless of whether
you prefer version 4 and/or 5, regardless of economic up- and downs in
society - I hope that what you take with you for the rest of your life
is our spirit to share openly and the spirit and capacity to love
other people. Although all the other stuff matters to us in the
shortterm and is the driving power in the "here and now", I know in my
own heart that TYPO3 is much more than that.

I hope the TYPO3 spirit will always be around, thanks for taking so
good care to keep it even if I'm not on stage anymore! I pray that I
will see many more years of such inspiring collaboration and human
interaction as we just saw these days. I'm still sure it is the right
thing for me to do something different for the time being, but for the
first time in a long while I felt the precious value of TYPO3 in a way
that I don't want to loose.

Love you guys! You are great. Just great!
