[TYPO3-50-general] New templating system?

Hi all,

I've read the archives from this list (as well as TYPO3-team-core-v5 and TYPO3-project-templavoila), searched on the Forge and couldn't find any answer to the simple question i'm asking myself :

Will there be a new templating system shipped with Typo3 5?

To be precise, when i speak about a templating system i'm thinking about something equivalent to automaketemplate or TemplaVoilà (or even Jetts for those who don't know it, which is a smart replacement for automaketemplate), i'm not thinking about a templating system to be used in extensions (which Fluid seems to be as of shipped in 4.3).


So will there be a new templating system? Will TemplaVoilà still be the favored system? If Yes will it be re-written to take advantages of Fluid (if this is possible)?


All apologies if this has been answered a hundred times, for i failed in finding any info.
